Obama Flip-Flops1. Special interests In January, the Obama campaign described union contributions to the campaigns of Clinton and John Edwards as "special interest" money. Obama changed his tune as he began gathering his own union endorsements. He now refers respectfully to unions as the representatives of "working people" and says he is "thrilled" by their support. 2. Public financing Obama replied "yes" in September 2007 when asked if he would agree to public financing of the presidential election if his GOP opponent did the same. Obama has now attached several conditions to such an agreement, including regulating spending by outside groups. His spokesman says the candidate never committed himself on the matter. 3. The Cuba embargo In January 2004, Obama said it was time "to end the embargo with Cuba" because it had "utterly failed in the effort to overthrow Castro." Speaking to a Cuban American audience in Miami in August 2007, he said he would not "take off the embargo" as president because it is "an important inducement for change." 4. Illegal immigration In a March 2004 questionnaire, Obama was asked if the government should "crack down on businesses that hire illegal immigrants." He replied "Oppose." In a Jan. 31, 2008, televised debate, he said that "we do have to crack down on those employers that are taking advantage of the situation." ......And the list goes on with just about every issue including terrorism, Taxes, Iran, Syria North Korea.......

Jul 20, 2008 - Thats the liberal mantra "People don't know shit from shinola so its up to the government to save the day" How can you trust a guy like Obama who says "Everyone is corrupt and needs to change... except for me, of course!" Sounds like a studied disciple of Castro if you ask me!

Jul 21, 2008 - "dubious, failed war"LMAO! Thanks for the history lesson!

AvengerJMV Says:

Jul 22, 2008 - In my opinion al-qaida wanted us in iraq and Afghanistan, now there in a position were if we leave they have a real chance to seize power. the thing is we have to leave Iraq and Afghanistan at some point we can't stay there forever. Really the only way to create a budget surplus is to stop borrowing money to fight wars, stop spending money on wasteful government programs, and a limited temporary tax increase used solely for the purpose of reducing our national debt.

AvengerJMV Says:

Jul 22, 2008 - the free market system is great, however the hole the feds have dug for us with in regards to our national debt and declining dollar value. True Conservatives should be appalled by how much we owe, especially since much of it we owe to the communist Chinese. We can lower taxes all we want it won't help anything if your dollars are not worth anything, google about the Zimbabwe currency that's what's happening to us. Soon the copper in our pennies will surpass what there worth.

CrazyRepublican101 Says:

Jul 22, 2008 - I know very well of the Zimbabwe currency and I must agree with the point you are trying to make...America is very much in trouble because of the current dollar.. Because our current dollar, in reality, is nothing more then a piece of dirty paper that is worth absolutely nothing....And because it is worth nothing, the government is free to produce as much of it as it pleases... America should never had abandoned it's gold and silver currency, if you ask me.

CrazyRepublican101 Says:

Jul 22, 2008 - Yes, I agree with you 100000%, America has to leave Iraq and Afghanistan but, just not now because, even by your acknowledgment, if we leave now, they will have a real chance to seize power.. We can leave only when the condition within the countries allow us to..

woolybullie Says:

Jul 29, 2008 - i take it you don't like roads, schools, police etc..

CrazyRepublican101 Says:

Jul 31, 2008 - I love roads, schools, police and ect...But what I don't like are programs that discourage personal responsibility and instead encourage a welfare type of state....Also keep in mind that I am in no way calling for the complete abolishment of taxes, I am calling for tax cuts that I believe should fallow as a result of decreased spending on many of these worthless governmental programs...Which means we can still afford all things you and I think are important such as roads, schools, police....ect

antspants1234 Says:

Aug 2, 2008 - we are winning the war you just hate bush so much you wont admit it.even if we weren't we should never never except failure.

FloodTheBlock Says:

Aug 3, 2008 - Lets get some decent health care instead of wasting money on Iraq. Seriously.

chronostarwolf Says:

Aug 3, 2008 - Im gonna vote mccain ^_^ eventhough he's part of the GOVERNMENT. lol it was funny how mant times the kid said that and the way he said it too

ladyshondra Says:

Aug 3, 2008 - if you watched the senate debate on energy as i did, you would have seen the dems tack on amendments to the tune of 11.5 BILLION more tax dollars to the budget and had nothing to do with one drop of oil being produced. this is part of our deficiet, the give away programs and entitlements. we cannot be all things to all people and survive. ear marks are why we have the deficeit and this won't change until we demand that stops. china ia now preparing to drill off shore, but we can't.

AvengerJMV Says:

Aug 3, 2008 - your absolutely right, but in my oppinion inflation of our money is the greatest tax ever and both republicans and democrats do nothing about it. it's like a hidden tax that no one knows about.

AvengerJMV Says:

Aug 3, 2008 - Gold and Silver was the onlything keeping the federal banking system in check. Hell if theres not enough silver and gold to go back to the gold standard we should go to a copper and nickel standard, anything to protect our currency.

AvengerJMV Says:

Aug 3, 2008 - thats true, but they might have a chance to seize power for 100 years. It's alot easier and cheaper for them to stay in thoughs countrys than us.

CrazyRepublican101 Says:

Aug 3, 2008 - Having part in the government is not the problem. The problem is how much power a person within the government wants to have over you, the citizen...

jekyllmcgee Says:

Aug 4, 2008 - obama's for the third way. he's not a socialist as you fear-mongers like to suggest. obama 08!

joeratti Says:

Aug 5, 2008 - america is a republic. by the people of the people and for the people. obama wants the government to control the people as does many democrats.

cosmolove365 Says:

Aug 7, 2008 - I'd like to comment on your first point only. You say in regards to Obama's policies: "where you and I are over taxed... you and I are forced by the government to give up our money so the government can decide where it wants to spend it. Why can't we decide where we spend our money and how we spend our money?..." So you are saying w/ the current administration you've had that choice? I guess YOU "decided" to spend 450 BILLION in Iraq? Thanks... I'd like my share back please!

cosmolove365 Says:

Aug 7, 2008 - Sorry... I mean 540 BBBBBBBB Billion!

gloriakenny Says:
