Obama is 100% right when he says that this election is and will be a defining moment for America. We will be deciding whether we will creep toward, and fall off the edge to the final demise of our great country, or whether we will sprint toward it full steam ahead and reach it within one generation.I do believe that he sees a different future. He sees a future of big government, and increased taxes; a future where the government is the dominant force in the lives of the people. Even if a person believes in these policies, they are not achievable without destroying the economic power of this country, and in so doing, destroying the relative rich lifestyle that the vast majority of Americans enjoy.Obama arrives in Terre Haute for campaign stopAssociated PressPosted: September 6, 2008TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama has arrived in Terre Haute for his first campaign event in Indiana since he accepted the Democratic nomination.A large crowd has gathered at the Wabash Valley Fairgrounds to see the Illinois senator, who got a rousing welcome from supporters who packed the fairground's 4-H Arena.Obama told the crowd that the nation's economic woes have left many Americans anxious, hurting and worried about their family's future. He said Republican presidential nominee John McCain would simply continue President Bush's economic policies — policies that he said have failed the nation.Obama was introduced by U.S. Sen. Evan Bayh of Indiana. He praised Obama for inspiring young people and many others to become politically active.Indiana among the battlegroundsBoth candidates have targeted 11 states with advertising this week. They are Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Missouri, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin. John McCain and the Republican National Committee also are up with an ad in Minnesota.Barack Obama, however, has expanded the field for now, placing ads in Indiana, Michigan, Montana, and North Dakota.Timing is also crucial. Five battlegrounds — North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Missouri and Michigan — begin distributing absentee ballots between Sept. 19 and Sept. 23.McCain must ensure a state like Montana, which voted for George W. Bush 59-39 percent over John Kerry in 2004 doesn't flip. But the state has two Democratic senators and a Democratic governor. He must shore up North Dakota and hold on to other states Bush won such as Nevada and Colorado, where there's been a growth in the population of Democratic-leaning Hispanic voters."The secret of the next 30 days is to get these traditional Republican states back in our column," said Reed.It won't be easy. Obama has the financial resources to keep those states competitive, forcing McCain to divert money he will desperately need in tossup states.Democratic vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin will be McCain's ambassador to vulnerable Republican "red" states. She'll cross paths with Republican vice presidential candidate Joe Biden in small cities and rural hamlets in Pennsylvania and Ohio in competition for working class white men and women. McCain would be free to promote himself as a maverick and independent in states such as New Hampshire and in the suburbs and ex-urbs where independent and undecided voters might live.

Nov 23, 2008 - So you might been one of those people that called me time and time again. Right when I sat down to eat dinner. Trying to get me to buy a trip somewhere I really don't want to go to. And hung up on.
wesleyjarrod Says:
Nov 23, 2008 - People can't pay their bills because they have so many lines of credit, their up to their eyeballs in debt...they got too greedy...basic bills of food, transportation (paid for cheap car, not brand new), electricity, water, is not expensive....the brand new 36" Plasma on the Discover card at 14% is what is killing them.
wesleyjarrod Says:
Nov 23, 2008 - MOVE!
wesleyjarrod Says:
Nov 23, 2008 - Bush had nothing to do with your company closing a branch. there are other banks, quit feeling sorry for yourself and get another job.
wesleyjarrod Says:
Nov 23, 2008 - The bailout is a liberal tactic....Liberalism tries to avoid consequences or avoid actions...So liberals will want sex without the consequence of a baby (Roe v. Wade) or they want money (good consequence of working) without doing the work (WELFARE)...without consequence we don't learn...the bailout avoided the consequence of failing...failing would put an end to wall street greed
Machelle3200 Says:
Nov 23, 2008 - Go Fuck yourself.......i don't give a shit what these bitches do with their unborn babies. so what the hell do i care if people have abortions. their body..their business. that's what's wrong with the world. Too busy worrying about people killing unborn fetuses to bring into this fucked up society..when there's plenty of fucked up kids of all races right here in this country that need someone to take care of them.
Machelle3200 Says:
Nov 23, 2008 - what kills me is that the same ignorant asses that are against abortion are actually for capital punishment.....america...home of the hyprocrites.
SechyoolarYOOESAY Says:
Nov 23, 2008 - I couldn't have said it any better Machelle3200. These people are fucking IDIOTS that think abortion is a big issue. People...WE HAVE HAD ABORTION FIGURED OUT SINCE THE 70s, QUIT GOING BACKWARDS. Republicans don't give a fuck about babies when they are born, but they care SO much when they are unborn. The only time when republicans start to warm up to kids are when they start reaching MILITARY AGE...then kids are JUST WHAT THEY'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR.
wesleyjarrod Says:
Nov 23, 2008 - you didn't even read it carefully enough to get the point; why waste my time...and by your rhetoric I am assuming you have a chip on your shoulder about racism since I didn't even mention babies or all races. I agree, more children need to be adopted..but they also need to stop being killed.
wesleyjarrod Says:
Nov 23, 2008 - Yeah, I hate those cold blooded killer babies that murder and rape; are tried by a jury of their baby peers, and sentence to death because they are too dangerous to society and show no remorse...yeah, those types of babies disgust me.
wesleyjarrod Says:
Nov 23, 2008 - we've (as human beings) actually had baby killing down since Moses' time. He was supposed to be killed by Egyptians, the Chinese have been doing it for years, so in comparison, we've just caught on; we're behind! Oh...and every society that has hailed death as a good tool to be used in society, has failed...except for the Chinese, which they probably soon will since 90% of their population will soon be men since they have that whole "kill it if it is female" thing
SechyoolarYOOESAY Says:
Nov 23, 2008 - Baby Killing......Wait a second I thought we were talking about fetuses. You know, the things that turn into babies when they leave the womb. When in the mother's womb, a baby has no cognition, no memories, and NO RIGHTS. It says it right there in the Constitution that babies are only citizens when they are BORN or NATURALIZED in the US. A fetus has zero rights because they are forfeited to the mother. Fetuses and Babies are helpless without the mother - thus they have the choice.
SechyoolarYOOESAY Says:
Nov 23, 2008 - wesleyjarrod-I have no idea what you're talking about "society hailing death as a good tool." Ask any woman that has had an abortion if she thought it was a good tool...of course not, it's a last resort. People don't make these decisions casually, it's very difficult but sometimes it's necessary for a decent shot at life. It's not like all people who have abortions do it all the time. I live in America and I'm not questioning what the Chinese are up to. They have their motives....
SechyoolarYOOESAY Says:
Nov 23, 2008 - Last but not least wesleyjarrod,Do you realize that our specie's numbers increase exponentially without any natural predator? It's true, we think everyone on the planet has a shot at life, but in the wild, nature is population control...It weeds out the weak and drives evolution by natural selection. Our numbers have now reached 6.5 billion, more than any animal on the planet (besides insects). Our population is growing EXPONENTIALLY, and you are worried about a few aborted fetuses?
wesleyjarrod Says:
Nov 23, 2008 - so if you have no cognition (which is crap because cognitive development begins before birth, otherwise the FETUS wouldn't stay alive in the womb if the brain were not cognitive) and no memories (which makes sense cuz who'd want to remember that?!); they can be aborted. The argument of citizenship against right to life is not equitable. If I understand the character of our forefathers, they never had in their mind "unless that fetus is aborted, then hell no they aren't a citizen or have rights"
wesleyjarrod Says:
Nov 23, 2008 - I am worried about morality and about the excuse of acting as ANIMALS. We HAVE A FREAKIN CORTEX! which no other mammal has, which allows us higher thinking processes; but for the sake of the population growth I shouldn't worry about digusting practices that don't give a baby a shot at life. Our earth can support much more life than 6.5 billion; the San Joaquin valley produces enough food to fee the entire world (if it weren't for politics) Give the fetuses a shot..Beethoven was almost aborted.
SechyoolarYOOESAY Says:
Nov 23, 2008 - Hey wesley, why are you trying to decide what women should do with their bodies? It's not your body, not your baby and not your life, so why the hell do you care so much? Are those pesky aborted fetuses screaming in your ear when you go to bed at night? You, as a male, have no right whatsoever to think you can tell a woman what to do with her body. A woman's body is not property of the state.
SechyoolarYOOESAY Says:
Nov 23, 2008 - You are an animal, just like all of us. The idea of God gives you this feeling like you are somehow special in this universe. Guess what, you aren't, none of us are. The right to life?!?!? Who says....there is nothing that gives ANYTHING the right to life except mother nature. This is a social construct made up by pro-lifers and bible-thumpers. There is no such thing as Morality either. Take psychology. "Morality" comes from our innate wanting to live cooperatively with one another.
bjlewis101 Says:
Nov 23, 2008 - mother natures has nothing to do a mother's acceptance of killing her own child. that's a choice and a doctor performing her wishes. if anything that's standing in the way of nature. also, what about those doctor's which refuse their choice to abort yet those mom's try and sue? who protects those children?? w/ the exception of a few cases in which abortion may be suitable, which should be carried out early, the choice came when she decided to have unprotected sex and forget possible reactions.
SechyoolarYOOESAY Says:
Nov 23, 2008 - bjlewis101...you = illiterate I can't believe you made it to age 27 with the lacking of grammar one attains as a freshman in high school. It pained me to attempt to read your comment...Let me explain again....A fetus is NOT a child or a baby. A baby is something born out of the womb. It all comes down to the woman's decision on her own body. Nobody can and ever will be able to take that decision away from the woman.Anybody else wanna talk me down?
bjlewis101 Says:
Nov 23, 2008 - look! baby/fetus (life form), whatever you want 2 call it makes no difference to me! U must remember something that ther is a lmtd # of characters allowed. im not writing 4 the benefit of a grade. next time give me ur email & i can send u a proof. thanks! 2 b so smart u should no this! still u ignore my point of abortions stand n the way of mother nature, huh? & u refused 2 answer the choices of dr's? mayb i will make my own moral-law that says peeps that kill innocent 1's should b slaughtered

wesleyjarrod Says:
Nov 23, 2008 - Yeah, I am going to let Freud, the cocaine addict that sexually abused his daughter, tell me that there isn't morality. Seems more like a convenience than a philosophy of mental science. "there is nothing that gives anything the right to life...except mother nature"So there IS something that gives the right to life. If I understand cellular biology correctly, mother nature would define life at conception given that mother nature created the live single sickle, paramecium and amoeba cells.
