On Tuesday 15 July 2008 the Wembley Park Anti-Academy Tent City Occupation entered Willesden County Court in London.Brent NUT and ATL Union Secretary Hank Roberts and all other protestors were served an immediate eviction order to leave the site of the new privatised Ark Academy school by 6pm that night.Roberts was also served a two year ban from the site, as Brent Council considered him the ringleader of the campaign. He was ordered to pay £3,750 ($7,495) in costs.Roberts and other campaigners defied the injunction and gathered supporters on the site to resist the eviciton. Roberts used a bicycle D-lock to lock himself to a flagpole on the sports ground hall rooftop, stating the fight against the privatisation of the UK education system was worth going to prison for.
