NOW it's time to honour the National TV Broadcaster.. the ABC.The second ABC TV station to open ABV Channel 2 in Melbourne opened on November 19, 1956.Channel 2 in Sydney had gone to air on November 4, 1956.Melbourne Broadcaster, Pete Smith is better known today either as the voice behind the programmes on Channel 9 or as the "Copper Art" salesman.. but Pete goes way back.In Fact.. He started out at ABV Channel 2 when it opened in November 1956.He holds the GREAT honour of creating what could be considered one of the world's.. and certainly Australia's FIRST Music Video Clip !!NOTE: These clips are from ABV 2's 40th Birthday Special that aired in November 1996.
