Cynthia McKinney Press Conference on why she's running as Green for President in New York July 18, 2008.Excellent overview of her motivation to run as Green for President.Key sound bitesAs I see the dissolution of the character and soul of our country, it is clear we the people have the power to take our country back.In 2006 people voted for peace and got war . . . the voters were betrayed. The majority of values expressed by people in this country are Green values. The solutions that make the most sense are the most difficult-Medicare for All-Accountability through impeachment-Kartina/Rita survivor right to returnI declared my independence from the national leadership that made my country complicit in the crimes of the Bush administration. The Green Party is not just an alternative it's an imperative. The values of people in this country should be reflected in our public policy . . . that emanating from Washington DC are something alien to the values of the U.S. people.Cynthia McKinney for President web pagehttp://www2.runcynthiarun.org/Cynthia McKinney Rosa Clemente for Presdient web page2http://votetruth08.com/

KnightOverEgypt Says:
Dec 5, 2008 - Hmmm. I wonder how many McCain voters she'll pull? Talk about BAD TIMING - with a race this close and Supreme Court positioning at stake. WHY???????She'll have even more to be outraged about after helping to secure McCain's reign.
RunCynthiaRun Says:
Dec 5, 2008 - Most states aren't close at all. It's electoral college by state, not popular vote.People voting for McKinney are NOT Obama supporters. It's people who are unhappy with Obama. If Obama's policies continue to look more like McCain's, Obama will continue to lose support , , , just as McCain is losing support to Barr BTW.
RunCynthiaRun Says:
Dec 5, 2008 - So that State Green Parties can gain ballot access to win local elections. So that with 5% of the vote the campaign and Green Party can get MILLIONS of DOLLARS to fund a viable national Green Party. It's the Major Parties who made that law and it's also the major parties who won't support Run Off Voting and it's the Major Parties who allowed both 2000 and 2004 election to be stolen. Watch Amerincan Blackout. NEITHER election was lost because of third party candidates.
RunCynthiaRun Says:
Dec 5, 2008 - McKinney had been in congress SIX TERMS as a DEMOCRAT and was a Georgia State Legislator before that.McKinney talks from EXPERIENCE both as an elected official and as to what it happening inside the Democratic Party.

Dec 5, 2008 - More Choices More Voices!
KnightOverEgypt Says:
Dec 5, 2008 - Although I first heard of McKinney's campaign from a vlogger who is torn between McKinney and Obama, it stands to reason that those who have decided to support McKinney, do not support Obama. It's true that most states are not close, but there are NINE that are. With neither candidate being able to claim the 270 points needed, those nine states can make or break either one of them.

Dec 5, 2008 - GALLUP POLL 06Sep:81% of Americans think country is going the wrong direction.75% think corporations have too much control over people's lives. 61% think the two parties are failing.
