Dec 5, 2008 - Well...uh...Justin Broadrick was one of the original members of Napalm Death waaaaay back in the day, plus he was the founder the pioneering industrial metal band Godflesh, so he pretty much as grindcore and noise music in his blood.

stoatyboy Says:

Dec 5, 2008 - Yeah i know Justin and Jesu, Napalm and godflesh etc...Not personally obviously, but we do both come from wolverhampton! You know any other industrial/noise stuff i might check out? Skinny Puppy, Squid, Fridge etc?

Dec 5, 2008 - where can i find the album?????

ClavicleofSolomon Says:

Dec 5, 2008 - Swans, Big Black, and Throbbing Gristle are the reason Godflesh existed, especially Swans. Check out Filth and Cop/Young God to hear Godflesh's main influences (though almost everything Swans did was amazing). Whitehouse is another band that Broadrick is influenced by. I'm not a huge fan of their early stuff...it's too minimal and unenjoybable for me, but I absolutely adore their late 90s, early 2000s material, Mummy and Daddy, Cruise, Bird Seed, and Aceticists 2006 are some of the most

Dec 5, 2008 - ...disturbing albums I've ever heard. Sutcliffe Jugend is another good power electronics/noise band with really fucked up subject matter.

stoatyboy Says:

Dec 5, 2008 - I've got some swans and throbbing gristle but i've always wondered where to start with Whitehouse, and I'll definitely check out Sutcliffe Jugend as well, thanks for the advice!
