Nov 23, 2008 - Kevie somehow managed to skin about 4" of the fur off her tail, exposing bone and tendons. Nearest we can tell she got it caught on or in something and panicked as she so often does. Bridgette did NOT bite her. I rushed her to the vet's office but there wasn't enough skin left to stitch shut so she sent me home with some antibiotic spray and instructions to keep it clean so that no infection could get in the wound.

Nov 23, 2008 - This happened 2 weeks ago and the wound is healing nicely. Best of all NO INFECTION! I've been cleaning it daily and spraying an herbal formula on the wound and Kevie's doing a great job of keeping it clean too. The wound is now down to about 1/2" in length but I'm not sure if the fur will ever grow back. Please keep those thoughts and well wishes coming, they are greatly appreciated! :o)
