Dec 4, 2008 - This is the nest box of two very fierce Peregrine Falcons. They raised four chicks, which fledged earlier this year. The adults still come back to protect their territory. (See "Columbus Peregrine Falcons Get Their Bands" on this site. The USFW people waved a bright red umbrella to protect themselves from the angry Falcon parents.) The window washers made a fast exit when one of them discovered the nest box. They did not want to risk their scalps being raked by sharp talons, no siree.
